Dräger Rebreathers
Dräger has researched and developed Semi Closed Circuit rebreather
diving technology for many years; this expertise is now available in the
form of the DrägerDolphin and DrägerRay SCC rebreathers.
TDI DrägerDolphin SCC Rebreather
The first rebreather released in 1995 as the Dräger Atlantis before
having a minor facelift and becoming the Dräger Dolphin, this semi
closed unit is still as popular as ever with recreational and even technical
divers. It has been designed to use EANx mixtures in a pre mixed cylinder
to maximize the duration of recreational dives. It is not intended, nor
designed to handle decompression dives, and we recommend a depth limit
of 35m. The system works on a constant flow rate which means that the
pre mixed Nitrox continually flows through a small jet into the breathing
loop. The diver simply decides the maximum dive depth, and then selects
the appropriate jet size to give enough gas to breathe at the target depth.
The diver then cross-references a look up chart to determine what the
final 02% will be in the loop, and then plans the dive. In 20m of water,
the SCR should give you nearly 2 hours of in water time.

TDI DrägerRay SCC Rebreather
One of the latest additions to the Rebreather world is the new Dräger
Ray SCR Rebreather. With its over the shoulder counter lungs and very
streamlined design this unit is both easy and fun to dive. Again, it is
not intended, nor designed to handle decompression dives, and has an operating
depth limit of 22m.
Prerequisites: At instructors discretion
Course Duration: 2/3 days
In addition to training we also sell and service a variety of rebreathers
and stock accessories, including Sofnolime, Oxygen Cells, Rebreather Computers
and Computer Interfaces.
