TDI Semi-Closed Circuit Rebreather

The TDI Semi-Closed Circuit Rebreather course is the ideal course
for photographers, cold water divers or anybody wishing to enjoy a quieter dive and closer interaction with marine life.
What you learn
The SCR course takes you through the history and theory of SCR’s, how the units work, and the setup and cleaning checks. Topics and skills include:
- System mechanics
- Nitrox review
- Gas physiology
- Bailout scenarios
- Pre and post dive system checks
Qualification gained
Upon successful completion you will be certified to perform no decompression diving using the specific rebreather you were trained on, to a maximum depth of 40m.
Pre-requisites
To enrol on this course, you must:
- be a minimum of 15 years old
- hold a minimum certification of TDI Nitrox Diver or equivalent
(this can be combined into the course).
Course structure
4-days. This course includes 2 days for classroom, pool and dive preparation and 2 days to complete 4 dives. 100 minutes bottom time required to qualify.
Equipment
You will need your own full set of diving kit.
