TDI Advanced Nitrox
The TDI Advanced Nitrox Course qualifies divers to use enriched air Nitrox 21-100% to a depth of 40 metres during dives that do not require staged decompression. Often taught in conjunction with the TDI Decompression Procedures course, this can be considered the foundation of your technical diving education.
What you learn
Advanced Nitrox is also a great course for those wanting to extend their bottom times in shallower depths such as scientific diver, and a must
for SCR or CCR divers. The course cover topics like equipment requirements, dive planning, oxygen tracking and blending methods.
Qualification gained
Upon successful completion you will be certified to dive with Nitrox mixes from 21 – 100% without supervision.
Pre-requisites
To enrol on this course, you must:
- be a minimum of 15 years old
- hold a certification of Nitrox diver or equivalent
- have 25 logged dives.
Course structure
2-days. Includes 4 nitrox dives and covers all the topics in the nitrox course in much greater detail, with in-depth coverage of CNS & whole body oxygen toxicity and tracking, common mixing methods, best mix computations, decompression gas, accelerated decompression, dive planning, gas consumption calculations and equipment considerations. 100 minutes bottom time requiredfor certification.
Equipment
You will need a full set of diving kit. We offer equipment rental if required, at a discounted rate.
