Assistant Instructor
This provides PADI Divemasters (and those certified to leadership levels
with other diver training organisations) with additional training as instructional
assistants. This program will build upon your abilities to organise and
supervise dive activities, while concentrating on developing teaching
skills. Through independent study, classroom sessions and practical application,
candidates learn to construct effective teaching presentations.
Prerequisites: PADI Divemaster (or equivalent) and
a minimum of 60 open water dives.
Open Water Instructor
During the PADI Instructor Development program, you’ll learn the
PADI System of diver education, standards and procedures, effective academic
teaching presentations, teaching in confined water, conducting open water
training dives and additional related topics.
Prerequisites: Assistant Instructor and a minimum
of 60 open water dives.
Master Scuba Diver
Achieving the PADI Master Instructor rating means you’ve have obtained
one of the highest instructor achievements and be identified as an individual
who is experienced in providing an entire range of PADI programs to students.
Prerequisites: Open Water Instructor plus informal
