PADI Advanced Open Water
The Advanced Open Water Diver course helps you increase your confidence and build your scuba skills so you can become more comfortable in the water. This is a great way to get more dives under your belt while continuing to learn under the supervision of your PADI instructor.
What you learn
You’ll hone your skills by completing five adventure dives that introduce you to:
Deeper water diving (typically anywhere from 18-30 metre).
A sampler of three more Adventure Dives of your choice.
Upon successful completion you will recieve a certification card which qualifies you to dive to a depth of 30 meters (21 meters for Junior Advanced Open Water).
To take this course, you must:
- be a minimum of 15 years old (12 for Junior Advanced Open Water Diver)
- hold a PADI Open Water or Junior Open Water certification
(or qualifying certification from another training organization).
Prior to the course you will receive a manual with knowledge on all the adventure dives included. It is important you read the 5 relevant sections for the adventure dives you wish to do, and complete the corresponding knowledge reviews before the start of the course.
2-3 days. In this time you will complete 5 dives, 2 of which are compulsory core dives (deep dive and navigation dive). For the remaining 3, you can choose the dives that interest you the most, from a choice of 12.
You will need a full set of diving kit. We offer equipment rental if required, at a discounted rate.
